Sidewalk Scene in Woolwich, London

The surreal scene of watching passers-by calmly walk by a man with two bloody knives and two bloody hands.

This is a link to the video of the scene. It’s graphic, btw. Beware!

“6 Underground (Live)” - Sneaker Pimps w/ Kelli Ali

Do you guys remember 1997? Do you guys also remember Sneaker Pimps? Do you remember Kelli Ali? OMG! Then at the least watch 00:35-1:04 of this. Jesus Christ! She’s using little facial expressions in time with the music and being so smooth about it. It’s just effortless cool, to me anyways. I had the biggest crush on this lady from 1996 -1997. Now I remember why.

On Making Eye Contact:

She first makes eye contact with the camera around the 35 second mark. Traditionally they tell people to not look at the camera during tv show tapings. I guess this is because it can sometimes come off as awkward or cheesy or make the person nervous. I’m not really sure of the reasoning behind the rule, but I think this shows someone who can get away with it perfectly. It’s like there’s not an awkward bone in her body. That center camera operator probably thought they were being seduced.

By the way, I’m getting pretty blown away by how weird popular culture was in the late 90s.

I found the video of the girl and the elephant! Even Better!!

And lastly, John Frusciante covering “Maybe” by The Chantels.

Okay, I’m done. I’m just having a moment.

very tough to watch:

“Syria: Assad’s Child Victims”

VICE commissioned renowned photojournalist and videographer Robert King to embed on the front lines with the Free Syrian Army in Aleppo. War-zone chaos ensued. In this episode, Assad forces hit Al Qusayr with a rocket attack while Robert is filming - it was targeted directly.

“My Dad Died Screaming” story from Kevin Smith: Burn in Hell

I was watching this out of boredom, and then Kevin Smith goes into this story. Now I can’t sleep. I feel anxious. This is worrying the shit out of me.

Main story starts at 1:10 mark, btw.

Beard progress pt. ii.  Also, yes, my nose is crooked.

just being creepy in the low lighting and checking out my beard growth.

Skinemax, for a generation raised on late night television and B-movie VHS tapes.

If you have the time to watch this (It’s an hour long.  If not, at least skim.), and if you remember what it was like to stay up late in the early 90s watching b-movies on USA and such, you’ll probably find this pretty fun.
